$700,000.00 Settlement – Podiatry Malpractice

A Monmouth County man obtained a $700,000.00 recovery following a lawsuit filed against his podiatrist, arising out of an Achilles tendon repair. During the repair, a thigh tourniquet was applied and it was alleged that, for
this patient, the tourniquet pressure was excessive – resulting in damage to multiple nerves in the lower extremity. As a consequence of the nerve injuries, the client underwent surgeries to decompress the nerves, and, required an additional procedure to help repair a clawing of the toes that also developed. Blume Forte partner Michael Zerres handled the matter for the client.
