Attorney Bio

When your life has been upended by a serious injury, the lawyer you choose matters. For twenty-five years, Harris has stood beside injured clients and their families, taking on hospitals, trucking companies, and automobile manufacturers — and winning. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and recovered millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts, earning a reputation as an authority in product liability and medical malpractice litigation.

What sets Harris apart is not just his results, but how he achieves them. Complicated personal injury cases rarely follow a straight path, and Harris takes pride in finding creative solutions to the legal problems that stand between his clients and the compensation they deserve. He prepares every case as if it will be decided by a jury — and defendants know it.

That commitment to the courtroom has earned Harris recognition across the profession. He has been designated a New Jersey Super Lawyer, including his 2025 selection in Personal Injury Products: Plaintiff, and has been named a “Top 100 Trial Lawyer,” a “Top 10 Trucking Lawyer,” and one of the “Best Lawyers in America.” He is also Certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey — a distinction held by only a small fraction of attorneys in the state.

Harris’s practice covers the full spectrum of personal injury litigation, including automobile product defects, trucking accidents, medical malpractice, inadequate security, and other negligence matters. He has developed particular expertise in complex automobile defect cases — those involving preventable rollovers and failures of critical components like seat belts, airbags, and tires that cause catastrophic injuries and deaths. These are cases many firms won’t take on. Harris seeks them out.

His knowledge is sought by his peers as well. Harris has lectured to local and national legal organizations on medical malpractice, defective airbag systems, automobile defects, and trucking litigation. In 2018, the New Jersey Supreme Court appointed him to the District XB Ethics Committee, where he investigates possible violations of attorney ethics rules — a role reflecting the trust the profession places in his judgment and integrity.

Harris began his career as a Judicial Clerk for The Honorable Joseph L. Yannotti, J.S.C. in the New Jersey State Superior Court, Civil Division of Bergen County. He is licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and The American Association for Justice. He is also able to converse in American Sign Language, allowing him to communicate directly with deaf and hard-of-hearing clients.

If you or a loved one has been seriously injured, Harris is ready to put twenty-five years of trial experience to work for you.
