$500,000 Settlement for Elevator Malfunction Injures Woman’s Back

On the same day that an apartment building elevator was serviced and deemed safe, a woman attempted to ride the elevator from the fourth to the first floor. Instead, the elevator failed to stop and descended to the basement. The woman lost her balance and suffered a herniated disk, requiring the implantation of a neuro-stimulator.

Blume Donnelly principal David Fried obtained a settlement, valued at $500,000.
