$508,000 Verdict for Machinery Injury

After closing arguments by the firm, a jury awarded $508,000 to a machine operator who was injured at the Revlon Corporation in Edison on machinery manufactured by the Pneumatic Scale Corp.

The man was operating a “capping machine” when a bottle broke and spilled its contents on the machine. He turned the machine off while he was cleaning it, but the machine came back on and injured his hand.

He suffered severe injuries to his thumb and fingers which have required five surgeries and a partial amputation of the pinkie finger.
