$395,000 Settlement for Osteomyelitis

An 86-year-old woman was hospitalized and developed a “staph” infection. Unfortunately, the staph infection was treated with the incorrect medication for an insufficient period of time. The client developed osteomyelitis, which ultimately led to an epidural abscess. The woman became paralyzed and survived for about 1 year before dying from an unrelated medical condition. It was claimed that had she been given the proper medication for a longer duration, the infection would have probably resolved without complication. Blume Donnelly lawyer, Jeffrey Zenna, settled that matter for the woman’s family.
