$350,000 Settlement for Construction Accident

Blume Donnelly partner John Molinari represented a construction worker who fractured both wrists when he fell through a hole in a roof upon which he was working. The wrist fractures required surgical treatment. The client was removing sheets of plywood from the roof, and fell through a hole hidden by one of the sheets. Mr. Molinari was able to establish that the construction company failed to follow OSHA regulations and take precautions which required that the hole be securely covered and marked properly to warn workers of its existence. Mr. Molinari settled this case for $350,000.
