$50,000 Settlement for Construction Accident

The firm represented a middle-aged man who sustained soft tissue injuries when struck by a vehicle while at a construction work site. Unfortunately, the defendant driver did not have an insurance policy in place at the time of the accident. The workers’ compensation lien, which included medical benefits, was well above the clients $50,000 Uninsured Motorist limits. The firm was successful in obtaining the full $50,000 Uninsured Motorists limits and then tactfully negotiated the significant workers compensation lien down so that the client could not only obtain workers compensation benefits but also a significant portion of the UM recovery.
