$250,000 Settlement for Construction Accident / Slip & Fall

Mr. Molinari represented a 34-year-old elevator mechanic who was working on the top floor of a building under construction in Jersey City, New Jersey when he slipped and fell on snow and ice which had accumulated on the uncovered top floor. Our client suffered multiple injuries including a comminuted fracture of the right wrist requiring an open reduction and internal fixation surgical repair. He also sustained lacerations requiring sutures that resulted in some minor scarring to his chin. Mr. Molinari utilized an expert who concluded that the defendant violated the principles and practices of construction safety management, because they failed to take reasonable steps to remove the ice and snow or control it through the application of salt or sand.
