$255,000 Settlement for Construction Accident

Mr. Molinari represented a 36-year-old carpenter who was injured during the construction of a building in Jersey City, New Jersey when he fell from a Baker’s scaffold as a wind gust blew a tarp into the scaffold. John made claims against the company that fastened the tarp to the perimeter of the building as well as the general contractor. Our client suffered an avulsion fracture of the left elbow requiring open reduction and internal fixation surgery, and bilateral comminuted acetabular fractures (hips). His injuries healed well and he returned to work in four months. The defendants claimed that the plaintiff was responsible for his own injuries choosing to work in the windy conditions.
