$290,000 Settlement for Moped & Automobile Accident

The firm represented a teenager who was seriously injured when his moped collided with an SUV on a narrow road in the private community where he lived. The roadway where the accident happened was partially obscured by bushes that had been growing uncut for more than a year. Working with an accident reconstructionist, the firm proved that the bushes made it impossible for his client to see oncoming traffic.

The other driver and the private community argued that the firms’ client was riding in the middle of the road when the accident happened. The community also argued that it had no duty to cut the bushes back from the roadway. After successfully arguing before a judge that the community did have that responsibility, the case settled just prior to trial.
