$450,000 Settlement for Motor Vehicle Accident / Head Trauma

Partner David Fried represented a 16-year-old girl who was visiting an older friend of driving age. Our client and her friend were horse-playing and, while our client was sitting on the trunk of the friend’s car, the driver decided to move the car as a joke, pulled forward, and our client fell hitting her head. The traumatic head injury caused a concussion and a small subdural hematoma (brain bleed), which did not require surgical intervention, but did leave the girl with post-concussion TBI (traumatic brain injury) symptoms including light and noise sensitivities and concentration problems. David was able to settle this claim for $450,000.
