$275,000 Verdict for Auto Injuries

A Kentucky man working on assignment in New Jersey was awarded a verdict of $275,000, an unusually large amount for certain head and neck injuries sustained in a Franklin Township auto accident. Michael Zerres, a Blume Donnelly, proved that the 56-year-old man had suffered a head injury, cervical strain, and an aggravation of an existing arthritic neck condition, when his vehicle was struck from the side at a high rate of speed by a woman who lost control of her car on the rain-slicked road.

The case was presented in the Union County Courthouse, and the jury was asked to take into account the permanent effects the injuries would have on the man’s future life.
