$1,490,000 Settlement – Head On Car Crash

John E. Molinari represented a nursing assistant who was leaving her job at a local hospital traveling on Route 206 in Andover, New Jersey when a car operated by the defendant crossed the double yellow lines and struck her vehicle in a head-on crash.  Plaintiff had to be airlifted from the scene and taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital.  She spent most of the next four months in either the hospital or a rehabilitation center undergoing a total of 17 surgical procedures.  Plaintiff suffered fractures to her right arm, right leg, but most seriously to her left leg.  She has been disabled from her job at the hospital but is optimistic about returning to a more sedentary position.

The defendant had a total of $1,500,000.00 in available insurance and paid property damage claims of just under $10,000.00 leaving just over $1,490,000.00.  The total amount of the remaining insurance was recovered on behalf of the plaintiff less than one year post-collision.
