$300,000 Settlement for Motor Vehicle Accident / Wrongful Death

Blume Donnelly partner David M. Fried represented an 87-year-old man who was a passenger in his son’s car when it was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop at a red light. The man’s injuries included a “pseudo-aneurysm of an artery in the groin which required surgery. Despite efforts by his healthcare providers, the man slipped into a coma and died several weeks later. The man was retired and left no dependants. Mr. Fried secured the full extent of the insurance coverage available from the defendant driver ($100,000), as well as $200,000 in additional underinsured motorist coverage through the decedent’s son’s auto insurance policy.
