$750,000 Recovery for Failure to Diagnose Lung Cancer

Blume Donnelly partner Michael Zerres obtained a recovery of $750,000 for the widow of a man who died from lung cancer. The man, who worked for the New York Stock Exchange as a Vice President, was diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2000 The cancer later metastasized to the brain. Despite aggressive treatment, he passed away in Sept. 2002. It was alleged that his lung cancer was missed on an x-ray taken in August 1998 at a local emergency room, and, that earlier diagnosis and treatment would have resulted in a more favorable outcome.
