$475,000 Settlement for Medical Malpractice / Wrongful Death

Blume Donnelly partner Jeffrey Zenna represented a woman in her 50s who was part-time employed. Subsequent to a pelvic surgical procedure, her doctors failed to timely diagnose a bowel perforation that occurred during the surgery. The delayed diagnosis resulted in the woman sustaining severe peritonitis and sepsis (infection), causing her death within a week after the surgery. The woman left 2 adult children. Mr. Zenna was able to settle this case for $475,000.
