$250,000 Settlement for Motor Vehicle Accident / Rear-End Collision

Ronald Goldfaden settled a case for a woman who was a front seat passenger in a vehicle that was struck in the rear by the defendant. The woman sustained an aggravation of prior back and neck injuries. The evidence revealed that the plaintiff had suffered prior spinal injuries for which she received treatment, but that the injury in question aggravated and exacerbated those injuries requiring an implantation of a nerve stimulator device. The case was settled for $250,000. Although there were pre-existing injuries, and very little property damage to the rear of the plaintiff’s car. Mr. Goldfaden was successful in arguing that the impact, although slight, was the “straw that broke the camel’s back.”
