If you own a SharkNinja Foodie OP300 Multi-Function Pressure Cooker, we urge you to cease use immediately as recent reports of serious burn injuries have prompted a recall.
The recall, which was issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on May 1, 2025, applies to all SharkNinja Foodie OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers after the company received notice of over 100 burn injuries from consumers. These injuries — which have included second and third-degree burns — are the result of a faulty lid, which unintentionally opens during use, exposing users to hot and dangerous contents.
If you’ve been injured by this popular kitchen appliance, contact Blume Forte as soon as possible. Our firm is dedicated to pursuing compensation for the harm New Jersey residents have suffered as a result of this negligence.

1.8 Million SharkNinja Pressure Cookers Recalled After Serious Burn Injuries
The recall comes on the heels of SharkNinja receiving 106 reports of burn injuries, as the lid to the pressure cooker can be opened during use, exposing users to hot steam and food.
This recall applies to all models of SharkNinja Foodie OP300 Multi-Function Pressure Cookers that were purchased online and in stores from Walmart, Target, Amazon, Sam’s Club and Ninja’s website (Ninjakitchen.com) between January 2019 and March 2025. Model numbers include:
- OP300
- OP301
- OP301A
- OP302
- OP302BRN
- OP302HCN
- OP302HAQ
- OP302HW
- OP302HB
- OP305
- OP305CO
- OP350CO
To confirm whether your pressure cooker is part of the recall, check the model number on the side label. Disregard any extra letters or numbers after the model—for instance, a label reading “OP301 I07” is still an OP301 unit.
As of publication, at least 50 of these reports noted second or third-degree burns to either the face or body.
While consumers may still use the product’s air-frying function, they are encouraged to stop using the pressure-cooking function immediately. Owners can contact SharkNinja directly for a replacement lid.

How to File a Product Liability Claim After Being Injured by a Defective Pressure Cooker
Filing a product liability claim after a burn from a defective pressure cooker—like the recalled SharkNinja Foodi OP300 Series—follows a clear, step-by-step process. By acting quickly, you can maximize your chances of full compensation.
1. Seek Immediate Medical Care and Document Everything
First, get treatment for your burn and keep all records: ER reports, specialist notes, prescriptions, and photos of your injuries. Detailed medical evidence establishes the severity of your injury and is critical for your product liability claim.
2. Preserve the Defective Cooker and Recall Materials
Next, set aside the recalled unit, its box (if you still have it) and any recall notices from SharkNinja. Photograph the cooker’s serial number and all labeling. These items prove you used the exact product subject to the CPSC recall.
3. Report Your Injury to the CPSC and Manufacturer
Then, file an injury report with the CPSC at SaferProducts.gov and notify SharkNinja via their recall submission form. Early reporting creates an official record that supports your claim and may trigger additional corrective measures.
4. Consult a New Jersey Product Liability Attorney
A knowledgeable lawyer—such as the team at Blume Forte—can evaluate your case at no cost. We’ll identify whether to pursue claims for design defects, failure to warn, or negligence, and ensure you meet New Jersey’s two-year statute of limitations.
