Infant Froggy Socks Recalled Concerning Choking Hazard

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), approximately 5,000 pairs of Infant Froggy Socks manufactured by Sino-Best Industries, Co. Ltd., imported by Classic Characters Inc., and sold exclusively at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store have been recalled. These children’s products have been recalled due to a defect that presents a choking hazard for kids.

The Infant Froggy Socks are green socks with a red ankle border that have the feet and face of a frog stitched onto the top and sides of the product. However, it has been found that the stitched knit frog face and feet can detach, becoming a choking hazard for young children.

Besides their appearance, the socks can be identified by their Cracker Barrel price tag that includes the following information:  size 6-18M, care instructions, fiber content, and SKU number 417662, style S110.

Consumers are advised to immediately remove the socks from their child’s wardrobe and return them to any Cracker Barrel Old Country Store or send them to Classic Characters at 1320 Route 9, Champlain, N.Y., 12919.  Either option will result in a full refund. Customers can get in touch with Classic Characters by calling (877) 298-9620 or by clicking on the safety notice found on their website, www.classiccharacters.com. Currently, no incidents or injuries have been reported surrounding this defect.
