According to The Trentonian, a construction worker who was laboring on a development project in Robbinsville, New Jersey, lost two-and-a-half fingers after an accident that involved a table saw in February 2011.
The New Jersey workplace injury accident occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. when the 62-year-old worker experienced a “table saw mishap” which resulted in the man losing two and a half fingers. The fingers were recovered and packed in snow in an effort to preserve them.
The officers reported the man was in severe shock but were able to keep the man calm until emergency personnel arrived. The worker was taken to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment. It is not known whether surgeons were able to successfully reattach the man’s fingers.
