The award will be presented at the MCBA’s annual Installation & Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Brooklake Country Club.
The Civil Practice Award is among the most meaningful recognitions the Morris County Bar Association bestows upon its members. Presented annually to an attorney who has distinguished themselves through professionalism, service, and meaningful contributions to the civil legal community, the honor reflects the full arc of a lawyer’s commitment to their colleagues, their clients, and the law itself.
For Jeff Zenna, that arc spans more than three decades.
Jeffrey Zenna’s Legal Career: What Has Driven His Longstanding Success in Civil Litigation?
Jeff joined Blume Forte in 1995 and has since built a reputation as one of New Jersey’s most accomplished plaintiffs’ attorneys. He is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney, a distinction held by fewer than 2% of active lawyers in the state.
His personal injury practice spans medical malpractice, automobile accidents, premises liability, product liability, construction accidents, and class action litigation. Over the course of his career, he has secured tens of millions of dollars for his clients through settlements and jury verdicts, including several multi-million-dollar recoveries.

Legal Community Leadership New Jersey: How Is Jeffrey Zenna Involved Beyond the Courtroom?
Jeff’s commitment to the legal profession extends well beyond the courtroom. He is a member of the Morris County Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association, the Hudson County Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
A member of the American Board of Trial Attorneys (ABOTA) and the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, Jeff has lectured extensively on trial advocacy and legal ethics. He has presented for the New Jersey Association for Justice on rebuttal testimony and delivered a lecture for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education on avoiding legal malpractice. He is also a guest lecturer at Seton Hall Law School.
Jeff has served six years on the NJ Supreme Court’s 10B Ethics Committee for Morris County and is an active member of the Board of Trustees for the Morris County Bar Foundation. He also participates in fundraising for Johns Hopkins Medical Center in support of Multiple Sclerosis research, a cause close to his heart.
His professional recognition includes being named a Super Lawyer in the fields of personal injury and medical malpractice (2012-2026), as well as an earlier designation as a Rising Star in 2006.
