$150,000 Settlement for Rear-End Motor Vehicle Accident

The firm represented a driver who was rear-ended while sitting at a red light. The vehicles sustained minor damage and our client did not feel as though he had a serious injury at the scene of the accident. However, over the next several days his left leg began to swell and felt increasingly painful. Early the following week he was diagnosed with a traumatically induced deep vein thrombosis or DVT. The DVT eventually resolved, but left the man with daily leg pain.,The defendant driver argued that our client’s injury could not have been caused by the accident. Working with an accident reconstructionist and automotive engineer, the firm was able to illustrate how his client’s injury was cased by the automobile accident. The case settled prior to trial for $150,000.
