Daryl L. Zaslow is a principal with the law firm of Blume, Goldfaden, Berkowitz, Donnelly, Fried & Forte and is Certified by the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. Mr. Zaslow joined Blume Goldfaden in 1999 and is in charge of the firm's fourth location at 63 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank. He continues to split his time between Chatham and Red Bank, and he handles cases throughout New Jersey.

Since joining the firm, Mr. Zaslow's zealous advocacy and transcendent preparation have been instrumental in achieving significant awards for his clients by way of trial verdicts and settlements. He concentrates his practice in various areas of medical malpractice, including obstetrical malpractice, failures in prenatal diagnosis of birth defects and failures to diagnose cancer cases. Daryl also represents victims of nursing home malpractice and automobile negligence.

In the spring of 2006, Mr. Zaslow achieved a landmark verdict on behalf of a child who sustained a birth injury to her brachial plexus. The verdict in excess of $5.5 million is one of the largest ever obtained in an Erb’s Palsy case. A large part of his practice is devoted to representing children who have sustained brachial plexus injuries as a result of medical malpractice, and Daryl has given national lectures on the legal and medical issues unique to these types of shoulder dystocia or Erb’s Palsy cases.

Mr. Zaslow also obtained an $8.2 million verdict in a wrongful birth malpractice case in which he represented a 4 year old child with Down Syndrome and his parents. Daryl argued that the defendants not only failed to order the requisite prenatal screening tests but also failed to properly interpret a prenatal ultrasound that showed markers for Down Syndrome. Daryl further argued that the ultrasound markers necessitated that the mother be offered an amniocentesis. Had an amniocentesis been performed it would have diagnosed Down Syndrome, and the mother would have terminated the pregnancy, thereby avoiding the extraordinary costs and mental anguish associated with raising and caring for a person with Down Syndrome.

In 2009, Mr. Zaslow was appointed to the Advisory Board of The National Crime Victim Bar Association. The National Crime Victim Bar Association, whose office is located in Washington, DC, is a national organization devoted to providing support to attorneys representing crime victims in civil actions. The Advisory Board consists of 26 attorneys from throughout the United States.

Mr. Zaslow is a frequent lecturer for the American Association for Justice, ICLE and ATLA-NJ on medical malpractice, wrongful birth and nursing home malpractice.

Mr. Zaslow is a life long resident of Monmouth County and resides with his family in Holmdel. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, Association of Trial Lawyers of America New Jersey division, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Monmouth and Ocean County Bar Associations.
