New Jersey Collision Involving 4 School Buses Injures 39 Children

According to Fox News, a Parsippany, New Jersey school bus accident on Interstate 80 resulted in minor injuries to 39 children and two adults. The collision involved four school buses that were transporting more than 100 passengers from a Pennsylvania sports camp to Six Flags Great Adventure amusement park in Jackson, New Jersey.

A NJ State Trooper stated that it appears that one school bus rear-ended another, initiating a chain reaction which involved the other two vehicles. The bus passengers included nine- and 10-year-old children from Lindenmere Sports Camp, as well as adult chaperones. According to the Trooper, some of the children complained of simple cuts and bruises and/or pain. Two adult passengers were transported to a hospital to be examined.

The cause of this accident is still under investigation, but if it is determined that negligence on the part of the bus driver, the bus company, or even the bus manufacturer is to blame, then the families of those children injured in the accident may be entitled to pursue legal action.
