New Jersey School Bus Accident Claims Two Lives

School bus accidents can be quite significant.  Even when no children are on board, a bus collision can result in catastrophic injuries. It comes down to a difference in size.  School buses are heavy machines that are often five to six times larger and heavier than most other motor vehicles on the road. Even at slow speeds, a full sized bus can cause terrible damage and severe injuries in an accident. This was the case recently in Southampton Township, New Jersey.

The collision took place along Pemberton and Ridge Roads. A Volkswagen with two occupants veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Lenape High School bus.  The two occupants of the car were pronounced dead at the scene. Eight of the twenty students on board the bus were transported to Virtua Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Any automobile accident can cause tragic injuries and possibly even fatalities.  An experienced attorney can help victims and their families seek economic recoveries from those deemed culpable.
