In this lead
poisoning case, Blume Goldfaden Partner David M. Fried represented
a developmentally disabled young man and his family. Despite
notice from the young man’s mother to the landlord
of the residence where they lived, the paint in their apartment
remained in poor condition, and eventually resulted in the
young man being exposed to the lead. His very high lead levels caused him neurological impairment which he is unable
to overcome because of his prior disabilities. Mr. Fried
settled this lead poisoning case for $485,000.
