| Attorney - Michael B. Zerres Settlement: $550,000. Spring/Summer 2009 Blume Goldfaden Partner, Michael B. Zerres, obtained a settlement on behalf of a young couple who lost their infant daughter during surgery that occurred during the pregnancy. The surgery, which required removal of a benign adrenal mass attached to a kidney, also expanded to removal of one of the kidneys. In an attempt to transect the renal artery, the urologic surgeon mistakenly transected the aorta, a much larger artery, causing loss of blood flow the baby, and, as a result, her untimely death. |
