 Attorney - John Blume
Spring 2004

A 21 year old college senior was found to "Kayser Fleischer" rings around her eyes by her ophthalmologist. These rings are symptoms of Wilson's disease and are indicative of a buildup of copper in the body. The eye doctor faxed the a note regarding his concerns to the woman's primary medical doctor, but the letter was placed in the patient's file without being shown to the physician. A months later the client was diagnosed with Wilson's Disease, requiring ten months of hospitalization, depression, mood swings, tremors and abnormal limb movement. Wilson's Disease can be cured if treated on time. Blume Goldfaden principle, John Blume, obtained a 1 million dollar settlement for the client from the primary physician's office for not diagnosing the condition earlier.
