for Bartholin Duct Cyst |
Attorney
- Daryl Zaslow Associate Daryl Zaslow obtained a $500,000.00 settlement for a woman following treatment for a Bartholin duct cyst. The client's gynecologist told her the cyst was benign, but required surgical removal. A dilation and curettage was performed, and, during the surgery a hole was created in the rectum. The client developed numerous complications, including infections, a recto-vaginal fistula and discharge through the vagina. Three additional surgeries were required. It was established that the client was not given the option of having a less-invasive procedure performed, i.e., a marsupialization of the cyst. Further, it was argued that the hole in the rectum created by the surgeon was evidence of malpractice. |
