BG partner, Dennis Donnelly, obtained a $900,000.00 recovery on behalf of a 13 year old child born with Thalessemia major, a hereditary disorders characterized by defective production of hemoglobin, which leads to decreased production and increased destruction of red blood cells. Mr. Donnelly was able to establish the mother's obstetrician failed to perform adequate prenatal evaluation which would have shown the potential for the parents to be carriers of the thalassemia trait, failed to interpret testing, and, failed to prenatally diagnose that their son would be born with thalassemia.
