Delayed Birth Causes Child to Suffer Cerebral Palsy and Brain Damage: $2.5 Million Settlement

Blume, Goldfaden Principal Carol Forte obtained a $2.5 million settlement in a delayed birth lawsuit. Both a fetal monitor and ultrasound readings indicated fetal distress yet physicians failed to perform a caesarean section. As a result of the delayed birth, a fetal/maternal hemorrhage occurred that caused the baby to be born with brain damage. He now suffers from severe cerebral palsy.
