$885,000 Settlement for Construction Worker Injured on Mobile Platform

Partner Kenneth Elwood settled a case on behalf of a construction worker who fell 20 feet off of a mobile platform, when it toppled over after striking a trench at a worksite. The trench was not properly guarded by the general contractor. In addition, the manufacturer of the mobile platform failed to provide proper safety devices to guard against tipover accidents. The client suffered from a fractured skull, fractured vertabrae of the back, and, a fractured heel.
