$2.2 MILLION AWARDED TO PEDESTRIAN HIT BY TRUCK |
| Attorney
- John Blume Spring 1995 After less than three hours of deliberation, an Essex County jury awarded a Price Waterhouse marketing executive $2.217 million dollars. Blume Goldfaden principal John Blume represented the 38 year old man, who was injured while waiting for his early morning commuter bus when a food service truck careened onto the sidewalk outside his client's home in 1992. Blume explained that his client's injuries caused a condition known as Aphasia, which severely limits verbal and communication skills. Since the client's responsibilities at Price Waterhouse were to interpret technical information and to translate the information to consumer language for use in brochures, the accident deprived him of the ability to perform a job that requires strong communication skills and severely limits his earnings potential. |
